Adding to our range of quality antique reclaimed French Oak boards, beams and parquetry salvaged from across Europe, French Oak Trading Company can now offer new French Oak (certified authentic) planks and boards, from the Lorraine region where the timber is known for its wide grain patterns, which are unique to the area's mild winters.
New French Oak planks and boards have been a popular design choice since their introduction and provide an alternate price point option, without compromising the enduring beauty of French Oak and its unique grain patterns and character. New French Oak can be used in a range of design settings from contemporary to traditional and is synonymous with quality.
FRENCH OAK BOARDS and FLOORING
Perfect for flooring, joinery etc.
- Dimensions: are 220mm wide, 27 mm thick and up to 2.5 metres in length.
- Moisture content: of this exceptional wood is 10% +/- 2%
- European Grading Standard level: is QF2/3 Grade
Milled NEW FRENCH OAK
In its milled form the boards are delivered 20 mm thick x 200 mm wide and between 1.5 to 2.5 metres in length. Boards can be profiled for secret nailing or direct gluing.
New French Oak Planks
Perfect for stair treads, tables, benches, joinery etc.
- Dimensions: are between 200 and 340 mm wide, 45mm thick and up to 3.2 metres in length
- Moisture content: of this exceptional wood is 10% +/- 2%
- European Grading Standard level: is QF2/3 Grade
- In its milled form the planks can be delivered 40 mm thick to achieve a high quality joinery finish.
